Position of child neurologist at the University Hospital of Reims, France
The American Memorial Hospital of the University Hospital of Reims offers a full-time position in child neurology.
This pediatrician should provide consultations in pediatric neurology, including prenatal diagnosis, on-call consultations at the pediatric emergency room, and contribute to the on-call activity.
The current team consists of:
- A full-time child neurologist in charge of the Competence Center for Rare Epilepsies in Adult/Child with a general activity in child neurology ;
- A full-time child neurologist in charge of the Adult/Child Neuromuscular Diseases Competence Centre with a general activity in child neurology,
- One full-time pediatrician devoted to the Diagnostic Centre for Learning Disabilities,
- Part-time pediatricians (0.3 + 0.2) working in the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units.
The department of genetics is involved in multidisciplinary consultations with child neurologists.
Many analyses including exome are performed in situ.
The hospital also benefits from pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric rehabilitation, and child psychiatry teams, a pediatric laboratory of electrophysiology and a complete department of neuroimaging including pediatric MRI, all of which are very involved in pediatric neurologic activities.
Fluency in French will be privileged.
