Biel-Bienne Hospital is the public medical centre for the bilingual region of Biel-Bienne-Seeland-Jura (Switzerland). As such, it offers the entire population comprehensive care in all the specialities of modern medicine. More than 79,000 patients place their trust in us every year. At Biel-Bienne Hospital Centre, some 1,700 staff in more than 40 different professions find attractive jobs.
More than 7,000 patients a year are seen as outpatients in the Neurology Clinic. The neurological specialities include a Stroke Unit, a Memory Clinic, a Clinical Research Centre and a Department of Neuropaediatrics.
From an organisational point of view, neuropaediatrics is part of the neurology clinic. It has an experienced EEG laboratory and a neuropsychology department. Interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration is well developed, both within the neurology clinic and with the paediatric clinic, including neonatology and paediatric surgery.

Head of Neuropaediatric Clinic (80-100%)
Our position – your duties
- Medical care for paediatric clinic patients, both inpatient and in emergencies
- Independent management of outpatient neurological consultations
- Developing neuropaediatric services
- Participating in the planning and implementation of continuing training courses
- Participation in neuropaediatric on-call services (2nd line)
- Contributing to a dynamic and value-driven professional culture
Your expertise – our expectations
- Specialisation in neuropaediatrics FMH or equivalent
- Certificate of further training in EEG FMH or equivalent
- Enjoy working as part of an interdisciplinary and interprofessional team, and professional exchange
- Commitment to the needs of patients and their families
- Focus on medical quality standards that include safe patient care, optimisation of work processes, innovation and cost-effectiveness
- Solid knowledge of German or French (C1) and knowledge of the other language or willingness to learn it
