SENP 2014 Congress

Editorial

Dear friends,
Montpellier will be hosting the 42nd Congress of the European Society of Paediatric Neurology from 3 to 6 September.
We wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to get closer to our paediatric neurology colleagues in the countries around the Mediterranean, in the hope of creating new contacts that could lead to fruitful and friendly collaborations.
As every year, a course will be given, this time devoted to multiple disabilities and cerebral palsy in children. The themes of the conference will be epilepsy in children aged
and neuroinfectiology. There will also be a number of lectures, symposia and papers on a variety of topical subjects. Our aim is to encourage discussion and interactivity as much as possible, which is why a large amount of time will be devoted to case studies, discussions between participants and video presentations….
The Montpellier School of Medicine was founded in 1220 by defectors from Salerno. Its University dates back to 1289. This prestigious past has left us with architectural treasures, a wealth of museums and a Faculty that will be the focus of our work. I’m sure that the solemnity of the setting will not prevent us from maintaining, throughout our congress, the spirit of confraternity, companionship and simplicity that are the hallmark of our Society and of the group of Neuropaediatricians from Mediterranean countries.
