SENP 2018 Congress

Editorial

Dear friends,

On behalf of the Board of the European Society of Paediatric Neurology and the Organising Committee
organising committee, we are delighted to welcome you to Barcelona for the 46th meeting of the SENP.
This year we will be focusing on 2 topical issues:

  • the contribution of genetics to the management of childhood epilepsy and
  • degenerative metabolic diseases with treatable epilepsy.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the speakers who have agreed to take part and make their valuable scientific contributions, as well as to all those who will be presenting papers. We expect this meeting to be a dynamic forum of excellence for all participants. As always, we will have the opportunity to share scientific information, strengthen collaborative projects and exchange knowledge.

Networking with our colleagues will undoubtedly lead to a creative exchange of ideas, and we hope that at the same time you will be able to share your experiences, while enjoying Catalan life and culture.

Barcelona is an international city, easily accessible, a pioneer in tourism, commerce and the mixing of cultures.

The choice of Barcelona is an opportunity to honour the Neuropaediatrics team at the Hospital San Juan de Déu, created by Emilio Fernandez-Alvarez (a founding member of the SENP). This is one of the SENP’s most dynamic teams, having already organised 3 of our other meetings (in Barcelona, Castelldfels and Girona).

Welcome to Barcelona!
